Who we are

CCGC is a collaboration between two farmer clusters: the Stour Valley and the Suffolk Wool Towns. Collectively, CCGC farmers farm almost 20,000 hectares of South Suffolk and North Essex.

In September 2023, Suffolk Wildlife Trust supported their successful £750,000 bid to DEFRA for a two-year Landscape Recovery pilot – part of the government’s Environmental Land Management (ELM) schemes. This project is one of 34 selected in the second round of ELM’s Landscape Recovery programme.

Our project will move from development to implementation in 2026. This will mark the start of 20 years of restoring and recovering this special landscape.
